課程概述

The course aims to enhance each PT graduate student’s ability to do research design and understand the research process of physical therapy. The topics of this course include: “Literature Review, Problem Identification and Hypotheses”, “Introduction to evidence-based practice”, “Study Design”, “Meta-analysis”. Each student should present the preliminary proposal of his interested topic. The student is encouraged to discuss with classmates or instructors during the searching of literature, study design and proposal writing. All the students are responsible to join the discussion in the classroom.

General Objectives of the Course:
After completing this course, the students would be able
1. To describe the definition of research
2. To describe the reasons and barriers of research in physical therapy
3. To use and search literature
4. To develop and evaluate research questions
5. To describe the concepts of reliability and validity of measures
6. To describe the types of study design
7. To understand a meta-analysis literature and report as a team work
8. To design and present a simple study project
9. To moderate a presentation
